Silhouette uses the GentleLASE Plus Laser. This laser is manufactured by the Candela Corporation. It is a long-pulsed alexandrite laser and it is the only hair removal laser that features the Dynamic Cooling Device. The DCD delivers a spray of cryogen (an ice-like substance) on the skin's surface directly before the laser pulse. This cools and protects the skin and increases the comfort of the treatment. It is considered a superior tissue-cooling technique.
