How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Because
of its active growth and melanin distribution, the hair has to be treated
during the anagen phase to most effectively disable the follicle. Hairs
in the catagen and telogen phases, due to the absence of melanin, will
not be successfully treated, but they will move out of dormancy. Because
all hair will not be in the anagen phase, more than three treatments are
almost always necessary to remove the hair that subsequently enters into
a new growth cycle.
The frequency and the intervals between treatments are scheduled related to your own hair growth patterns. The ideal treatment interval seems to be as soon as regrowth occurs. On average, this is about four to twelve weeks following treatment.
The required number of treatments varies with each individual depending on the location of the sites on the body, the color of the hair and skin, and your natural hair growth pattern. Four to six treatments are typically necessary—though some patients need more—to achieve optimal results.
